If your account is a Telnet Shell, PPP + Shell, or Dialup Shell account, the instructions below will help you change your password on universal.dca.net, DCANet's shell account server. Your password on universal.dca.net controls access to POP e-mail, telnet, and FTP access to your account. If you are not sure of your account type, please check with DCANet's help desk.
Customers with shell accounts can follows these steps to change their passwords on universal.dca.net:
- Connect to universal.dca.net with your Telnet client program.
- Log in with your current username and password.
- Enter the command passwd at the Unix prompt and follow the prompts to change your password.
Your password change takes effect immediately after running the passwd program successfully.
